Cora's ISP outage this morning.  Here's what we did in class:

1.  Announcement:  Delay in emailing Midterm grades due to
WebGrade not accepting my uploads last night.  However, you should be
receiving individual emailed Midterm Discussion Paper grades
from me over the next two days, and the email will include
the Webgrade URL, your username (SSN) & your password.
Email will also offer info on the Optional Revision
(revised deadline:  on or before Friday, March 22).

2.  Finished discussion of Nervous Conditions & Discussion #5
Report assignment.  Relevant Discussion #5 webpages are linked above,

under Apartheid ("apartness" or "separation"), outlining its history
(background resource: Hum 211
African Timelines);
playing "Mbube (The Lion Sleeps Tonight)" from CD Gift of the Tortoise;
beginning discussion of Gordimer's "The Bridegroom"; and
playing clip from the video Cry Freedom 
(now on reserve for in-library viewing, but also available 
for checkout from many local video stores).
