| Directions | Cyber Rhetorical Analysis

Directions: Your WR 316 Term Project . . .
bullet is worth 40% of your WR 316 course grade (see WR 316 Syllabus);
bullet may be individually or collaboratively developed:  i.e. You may work with another WR 316 student in producing a collaborative WR 316 Term Web Project, but if so understand that I will expect partners to produce more (pro-rata) than I would expect from a WR 316 student working individually;
bullet may adapt or build upon a research-based prose writing project previously completed, and/or assigned in another of your OSU-Cascades / EOU classes this term; but, even so . . .
bullet must be "content-rich" (i.e. not just a collection of links):
*must present new prose web-writing (1000 - 1500 words per student) based on new research and critical/creative thinking on your topic completed during this current (Spring 2002) term;
bullet *should be logically organized and easy to navigate, following an organizational plan or flow chart (due Tuesday, May 21);
bullet *must include a Cyber-Rhetorical Analysis (see below) of your Term Project, either as part of your Term Project introduction/entry page, or on a separate web page linked to your Term Project entry page;
bullet must avoid plagiarism by adhering to copyright and "fair use" laws, by following an accepted college-level academic style (e.g. MLA) for citing sources, and by following accepted practices of "netiquette";
bullet must include headers and footers appropriate to entry and body web pages, working links (including navigational links among pages in your web), and adhere to other sound cyber-rhetorical principles of effective web communication (see "Cyber Rhetoric: A Rhetorical Approach to Writing for the World Wide Web");
bullet your Annotated Bibliography web pages should be part of/linked to your Term Project web site, including your Copyright web page with appropriate disclaimers and acknowledgements (see Annotated Bibliography directions web pages & Cora's Copyright page);
bullet should demonstrate proficiency in using basic FrontPage 2000 operations;
bullet should present writing of upper-division college-level quality (i.e. edited for clarity, coherence, and grammatical correctness).

More detail on evaluation criteria will be presented in Week #8, and you will have the opportunity to adapt or add evaluation criteria specifically appropriate to grading your Term Project during Week #10.
