Class Preparation & Participation Assignment -  5 points possible.
See HUM 211 COURSE PLAN for Assignment Deadlines

1.  Freewrite a list of the images and impressions that first come to mind when you think, "Africa."

2.  Afterwards, review your list and then write down the sources of these images and impressions--in other words, where did you get these ideas, images, impressions? Where did they come from?

3.  Respond to this question:  Why do you want to take Hum 211 - Cultures and Literatures of Africa?

4.  Review the HUM 211 Syllabus course description & competencies (or learning objectives), identify those that seem most important and/or interesting to you, and then briefly explain why.

5.  Add any other learning goals of your own--i.e. what would you like to get out of this course?--and briefly explain.

6.  E-Mail your Dialogue #1 to Cora using this procedure:

Subject:  E-Mail Dialogue
To:           cagatucci@cocc.edu

Type your Dialogue #1 responses directly into the E-Mail message or copy-and-paste (from your word processing file).

To test the compatibility of our word processing programs, I also recommend that you attach your word processed file to this Dialogue #1 E-Mail in addition to typing or copying it into the E-Mail message.
