Open Campus ENG 103 will combine these instructional methods:
1.  Interactive Televised Course Meetings
2.  ENG 103 Course Website & Password-protected Online Reserve materials
3.  Email and online Discussion Forum communications

Prerequisites for Open Campus ENG 103:

  1. College-Entry level reading, thinking, writing and communication skills
    Note: No previous coursework in literature is required, although such background is valuable.

  2. Basic computer and word processing skills - i.e. equivalent to successful completion of CIS 60 or AAOT-degree Computer Competency requirement

  4. Reliable and regular access to a computer with internet browser: 
    Computers must have Netscape Navigator 4.x (or newer version) or Internet Explorer 4.x (or newer version);
    and Windows 95 platform or newer. (Note:  If you have AOL, you may also need access either a Netscape or Explorer internet browser.
    The computers available in Bend campus computer labs and COCC Centers meet these requirements;
    however, students with regular home or work access to a computer with the above capabilities will have an advantage.

    "This account permits you to connect to the College computer network and use the College's electronic mail system.   6. Designated Writing Assignments must be . . .
    (a) prepared using a robust Word Processing software program such as Word or WordPerfect (NOTE: Notepad or Wordpad are not sufficient); and
    (b) e-mailed to the instructor as attachments (to preserve formatting) if possible, and/or copied and pasted into the body of email messages to the instructor;
    (c) The instructor's evaluations of designated writing assignments will be emailed to students in the same fashion.
