your Web
METHOD #1

1.  Click START in the lower left corner of your screen.
2.
Choose:  All Programs + Microsoft FrontPage

After FrontPage launches - to access Your Web:

1.  Click File menu (from the upper left corner of your screen) & choose Open Web.
2. Position your cursor in the Web Name field of the dialog box, and type in the entire URL of your web, all lower case: your first name + your last name initial.
E.g., Wr 316 student Cora Agatucci would type in:
http://www.cocc.edu/coraa
3
. Click Open. You will then be prompted to login to the Web.

4. Login (case sensitive, so use lowercase!)
Username & Password to be given in class, but not here to protect access to your web.
5.  Click "OK" button.
If all goes well, FrontPage will find your web, authorize your access by your entered login user name and password, and confirm in the "Look in" field: (e.g. coraa on www.cocc.edu).

   METHOD #2

NOTE: Root URL will open your index webpage by default.  If you have not yet entered any text on your index page, then the page will be blank.
4.  Click the File menu and select Edit with Microsoft FrontPage.  This procedure will open FrontPage and will display your web, but now you need to login in order to access your web.

Views

Views (from Inside Your Web)
Your web should automatically open in the Page view of your web, with two or three frames displayed:

--Views menu may display in the extreme left frame of your screen: or from View drop-down menu, select Views Bar.  The "Page" icon should be boxed as the view currently displayed on your screen. (If not, single-click the "Page" icon in the Views frame).

--Folder List:  Next to the "Views" frame, you should see the "Folder List" frame, listing all existing web Pages and Folders of nested web pages in your web. Note: the width of this "Folders List" frame can be adjusted--ask Cora how if you want it to be bigger or smaller.
A boxed
+ icon next to a web folder indicates that there are individual web pages nested within that folder. Single Click on the folder boxed + icon to display the list of web pages filed inside that folder.
A boxed
- icon next to a folder indicates that this web folder is empty--i.e. there are no individual web pages created / nested as yet within that web folder.

--Main Frame: When you first open your web, the main frame of your screen may display a default new page (in glaring blank white).
To load one of your existing web pages (from the Folder List frame) into the main frame so that you can edit it, you just need to find and double click that webpage in the "Folder List" frame.
For example, you should find a "templates" folder in your "Folder List."
Single click
the boxed + icon  "templates" folder, and a list of pages nested in the "templates" folder will become visible.
Double click
on one of these listed webpages, and it will appear in your Main Frame.  You can now now edit this webpage. Note: the web page currently displayed in the main frame is identified (by partial URL) at the top of the frame.
