This website was created for the Eastern Oregon University Writing 316 class.  The objective of this course is to "focus on study and practice of advanced prose writing on the World Wide Web, through guided analysis, writing, and independent research".   The Term Project I chose to realize these objectives is Multicultural Education.

My hope is that parents, teachers, administrators, community members, and prospective teachers, will gain information and insight into the importance of implementing multicultural education in our schools from this website.

My intention for this website is to be a place of resources, support and information for teachers and prospective teachers of elementary aged children to visit during their restructuring phase into multiculturism, or to persuade those who aren't convinced multiculturalism is the way of our future that it is an idea whose time has come.

Please browse around the annotated bibliography pages to find what resources I have found on this subject. (There is a wealth of information on this subject available, I've just found ten that met my needs for this project.)  I encourage those interested in multicultural education to continue the search for innovative, well researched ideas and activities, and share the wealth with others so that our diverse, wide world can become an active community of learners.

The bulk of this term project is the essay I wrote putting all this information together from the resources I found making a point for multicultural education.  Here's to happy reading and making positive strides for society.
