Aloha, this is a letter of introduction I wrote as part of my application letter for the CUESTE program offered by Eastern Oregon University at Central Oregon Community College.  I am using this letter as my e-paper for front-page basics for Professor C. Agattucci's WR 316-E Advanced Prose Writing on the World Wide Web course.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter in order to introduce myself to the Education Faculty and to express an interest in the Curriculum for Elementary and Secondary Teacher Education Program (CUESTE).

I am currently enrolled at Central Oregon Community College working towards an Associate of Arts degree.  My goal is to transfer to Eastern Oregon University to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies.  With this goal met, I look forward to a career in teaching at the Elementary level.  The skills acquired through the CUESTE program will strengthen my ability to impart knowledge to students and to provide a solid foundation for their future education.

My first priority in teaching is to instill to students the same values I share with my family.  I value the time I share with each and every one of them.  I concentrate on the quality of our time together.  We devote much our time reading to each other, sharing sit-down family meals, and inquiring of each other’s daily experiences and other activities.

I believe the CUESTE program will enable me to attain my educational goals and to prepare me for a career as a teacher.

Sincerely,

Ramona Mahealani Kaloi
