 | This week we will explore both the <img> tag and
the <a> tags. We also will discuss some of the basics of graphics relative
to web pages.
 | Create homework pages with samples of the <img>
tags. I want to see examples of all of the options discussed in your
text. Please organize them in a fashion that is understandable. I should
be able to find your various examples easily and identify them easily.
Create sample <a> tags also. To create your image map example, use the
technique shown in class using FrontPage or download another tool from
the web (see page 144 for a URL). The author's suggestion is demoware,
try
Imagemapic 2.0, works great, it's free.
|
 | Make sure you have links between all of your
homework pages and your "home" pages. Link homework pages to your home
work home, and homework home to your main home page.
|
|
 | Your web site should now be available on line this
week. Make sure you email your site's address to me.
|
 | Finally this week you should have posted a complete
description of your project
web site for this class. This should just be part of your class web site.
|
 | Thursday update:
 | Email your web address to me if you have not! |
 | Organize your homework pages in a pleasing, easy
to navigate fashion. If you need discussion of this ask! |
 | Provide links not only to downlevel pages,
provide links back up also. Think about consistency, do you put your
navigation links on one line at the top, bottom, both? |
 | Remember, I want examples of all the elements
mentioned in the chapters. Check the chapter summary page at the end of
the chapter for a review.
