Climbing and Topping a Spar Tree

While not as common in today's cable logging as in the past, tree climbing, limbing and topping a tree is still a required skill.Shown below is a sequence of pictures demonstrating this operation. It obviously takes a special logger to do this work, often a hundred feet in the air on a swaying tree.
