Email Reference Service

Who? The COCC Library welcomes electronic reference questions from COCC and OSU-Cascades Campus students, faculty and staff.  We will also be happy to answer questions from non-affiliated users concerning the college, the collections and services of the COCC library, or relating in some way to the state of Oregon. Other kinds of questions from non-primary library patrons will be dealt with as time and staff permit.  

What? You may ask factual, short reference questions. For research questions you may be advised to come to the library. 

When? During the week we will  respond to your question within the next 24 hours. Questions received Friday-Sunday may not be answered until Monday. Also, there might be a delay in our response during holidays or in-between school terms.

Privacy Policy:

Your question is sent to a file accessible by all library staff and saved for statistical purposes along with the reply you receive.  Every effort will be made to protect your privacy.  However, please use your own judgment when discussing personal or private matters through this service.
