& GOALS
The
Humanities Department pursues its mission in relation to the primary
mission of Central Oregon Community College.
Institutional
Mission: Central
Oregon Community College will be a leader in regionally and globally
responsive adult lifelong education in Central Oregon.
Department
Mission: The
Humanities Department is committed to
developing students’ reading, writing, critical thinking and
communication skills,
and fostering an appreciation of human experience through exposure to
the thought, literature, and language of other cultures.
The
8 goals of our Department are related to the Board Goals of Central
Oregon Community College:
Goal
1: To
maintain teaching excellence within environments productive for
learning.
