Assignment:

COCC is
accepting applications for individuals to interpret for hearing-impaired
students.
|
|
Qualifications:
|
- Requires advanced
interpreter skills.
- Preference will be given
to individuals with completion of a two or four year accredited
interpreter education program or a degree in a related field,
and /or
demonstrated equivalent educational interpreting experience at the
post-secondary education level.
- Demonstrate good oral and
written communication skills.
- Demonstrate good
interpersonal skills.
- Must have access to
reliable transportation.

Computer
Literacy:
|
All
College faculty, administrators, and staff whose jobs would benefit are
expected to have or commit to acquiring significant computer literacy. At
the very least, this means ability to manage files, use e-mail and
conferencing, use a spreadsheet such as Excel, use
Word or equivalent sophisticated word processing software. Additionally,
employees will be expected to use the Internet and to integrate
multimedia applications into classroom use when appropriate.

A complete

(2) Current Resume
(3) Official Transcripts of all College Education
Unofficial transcripts will be accepted and may allow an application
file to be included in the pool of applications. However, official
transcripts (mailed directly to COCC's Office
of Human Resources by applicant's college/university) must be in the
successful applicant's file prior to issuing an employment contract.
