FA 125 Take-Home Midterm

Basic Requirements: 1. Your Midterm must be word-processed and double spaced using standard margins, fonts & point sizes--e.g. Times New Roman 12 point or Arial 10 point or Calibri 12 point. 2. Your Midterm must be properly labeled as follows: --Label your assignment with a 4-line MLA Style Header in the upper left-hand corner of the first page of your document:
--Provide MLA-style Running Page Headers, consecutively numbered, in the upper right-hand corner of each subsequent page, including the Works Cited page, of your document:
3. Your Midterm should follow directions and address all topics assigned, based on required research. Recommended Length of Midterm: approximately 3-to-4 word-processed, double-spaced pages (including a separate Works Cited page), or as long as it needs to be to address all assigned topics and get the job done as well as you can! 4. Your Midterm
must avoid plagiarism and cite
sources used, making a good faith effort to follow MLA style in
providing In-Text Citations within your Midterm and complete
bibliographical information on all sources cited in a Works Cited
list, placed on a separate page at the end of your Midterm.

Midterm Part 2
(Total 5 pts
possible): Film Terms Investigate and develop definitions of two film terms of interest to you. --Sources that you summarize, paraphrase, and/or quote directly in your definitions must be appropriately cited in-text following MLA style--and direct quotations must be enclosed in quotation marks. --You must also provide list of Works Cited at the end of your Midterm; this Works Cited must provide complete bibliographical information formatted in MLA style on all sources that you have cited in the text of your Midterm. --See Voice-Over Examples 2 in On Filmography & MLA Style Citation (handout). |
